Obituary of Bonnie Johnson

Bonnie Ann Christie Johnson ?Bonnie? Mrs. Johnson, 50, of Charlotte, died after battling a brief illness, Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Bonnie was born in Daytona Beach, FL, eldest daughter to Jerel Dean and the late Perry Douglas Christie. At the age of two, her family moved to Mooresville, NC. Her passions were UNC Tarheel basketball, pretty much anything associated with Disney, and volunteering with the Alexander Children?s Home. Bonnie was a beloved sister, a devoted mother and a loving wife. She will be deeply missed Survivors include her husband, Harry Johnson of Charlotte, NC; son, Douglas Johnson, of Charlotte, NC; mother, Jerel Dean Christie of Pineville, NC and sister, Jane Christie Speaks, of Charlotte, NC. A memorial service for Mrs. Johnson will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2011, in the chapel at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC, 28203, with the Reverend Jeff Gardner officiating. A visitation will immediately follow the service. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Levine & Dickson for the loving care they provided to Bonnie and her family.
