Obituary of Rob Eubank

Robert Alan Eubank Rob Eubank, 41, of Charlotte, died on Friday, February 25, 2011 at his home after a courageous battle with colon cancer. His wife and brother were at his side. He was born December 2, 1969 to Bobbie Lee Holden and Fredrick Wesley Eubank of Gainesville, Florida. Following graduation from Gainesville High School, Rob attended Wake Forest University, where he met his wife Kory Deblitz Eubank. They were married four years after graduation. Upon moving to Charlotte, Rob established himself in the technology world by joining Tech Solutions and later co-founding ettain group, where he served as President. Rob is survived by his wife and children: Ryan (12), Luke (9), and Olivia (5), his parents and step-parents (Chic Holden, Marcia Eubank), grandmother Ethel Elizabeth Eubank, siblings Eric Eubank (Martha) and Alicia Eubank, as well as his wife?s parents, Tanya and Karl Deblitz, and his wife?s siblings, Brian Deblitz (Allison), Jason Deblitz (Megan), and Paige Whitney (Abbott). He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces who adore him. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues at ettain, whom he considered his second family, as well as the countless friends he made throughout his life. A service of witness to the resurrection and celebration of Rob?s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 200 West Trade St., Charlotte, NC, on Monday, February 28 at 2 PM. Family will receive guests afterwards in the Wood Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation Endowment (Livestrong) 2201 E. Sixth St., Austin, TX 78702 or the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Rd., suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28210. To truly honor Rob, he would want you to live the life he strived to live each day: to care about each person with whom you come in contact, to be a friend to children, to donate your bone marrow if you are a match, to make a person?s life better if you have the power to do so, to forgive easily, to make a choice each day to be positive, and to allow God to work through you. This is the gift Rob would like to leave to those he loved so much.
