Obituary of Douglas Reynolds

Douglas Stuart Reynolds, Jr. (?DJ?) DJ Reynolds, 27, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2011, in Nashville, TN. He was born in Charlotte, NC on September 15, 1983, where he grew up and graduated from Myers Park High School in 2002. He started his college career at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and then transferred to Middle Tennessee State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Recording Industry in 2008. DJ had a love of theatre and live performances and was a Lighting and Sound Technician. He was looking forward to working in summer theatre at Lees-McRae College. He is survived by parents, Douglas S. and Deborah C. Reynolds; brothers, Christopher B. Reynolds and William B. Reynolds; his fiancée, Nicole DeStefano of Nashville, TN; grandmothers, Sarah Lee Cheek (Nana) and Sara T. Reynolds; uncle, Michael Cheek and wife, Sandra of Jonesville, NC; and aunt Pat Reynolds, wife of the late Dr. Harold M. Reynolds of Moraga, CA. Visitation is Wednesday, May 4 at 9:30 AM at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Davidson St., Charlotte, NC 28202 with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Jonesville, NC at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Children?s Theatre of Charlotte, 300 E 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28202.
