Obituary of Randy Troutman

Randy Lynn Troutman, 48, of Hickory Grove, SC died suddenly on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in LaGrange, GA where he was working. Randy, an Asheville, NC native, was the son of Bob and Carmen Troutman. He graduated from Asheville High School in 1981. Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Chambers Troutman. In addition to his parents, Randy is survived by his son, Cory Troutman; stepdaughter, Stephanie Lindsay and her husband, Jeff; grandsons, Carter, Caleb, and Conner Lindsay of Monroe, NC; two brothers, Bobby Troutman of Asheville, NC and Terry Troutman and his wife, Donna of Canton, NC; sister, Kim Ledford and her husband, Brad of Morganton, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Randy is also survived by a special friend, Theresa Ott and her children, Kelsey and Matthew Ott of Hickory Grove, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the education fund for Cory Troutman, c/o Bob Troutman PO Box 18447, Asheville, NC 28814. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery on Central Avenue in Charlotte.
