Obituary of Sally Honeycutt

Sally Terry Honeycutt Mrs. Honeycutt, 89, of Charlotte, NC, died peacefully May 19, 2011 at her home. She was born January 18, 1922 in Danville, VA, the daughter of the late Leslie Hunter and Emma Clark Terry. She attended Danville area schools and then attended James Madison University and graduated from Ohio State University. She retired from Carolinas Medical Center after 32 years as a dietitian. After retirement she and her husband, Fletcher Laws Honeycutt owned and operated The Village Shoppe, an antique store in Glendale Springs, NC for several years. In addition to her parents and husband, Sally was predeceased by her sisters, Claire Owen and Hunter Adams. She is survived by daughters, Nancy Gribble and husband, Rex (Skip) Gribble, Jr. and Brenda Connelly; son, Fletcher Honeycutt, all of Charlotte. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Brent Gribble, Brian Gribble and wife, Laura, Tate Connelly and wife, Nicole, Patrick Connelly, Sally Brandwood and husband, Shane, Nichole Honeycutt, Josh Honeycutt and Graham Honeycutt. In addition, Sally is survived by three great grandchildren, Ashley Gribble, Marshall Gribble and Emma Connelly. The family wishes to express their appreciation and love to Gladys Hope, caregiver and special friend. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Glendale Springs, NC. Memorials may be made in remembrance of Sally Honeycutt to the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, PO Box 177, Glendale Springs, NC 28629.
