Obituary of Jack Hutchins

Jack Hutchins Mr. Hutchins, 91, of Charlotte, NC died May 22, 2011 at Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital. He was born on April 8, 1920 in Unicoi, TN, son of the late Jess and Celie Hutchins. Mr. Hutchins was a veteran of the U.S. military who served in World War II and Korea, a community leader in his neighborhood and a friend to all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Hutchins, and son, Joseph P. Hutchins. Survivors include his daughter, Mary Kathryn Rhodes and her husband, David of Waxhaw; three sons, Jack Hutchins, Jr. and his wife, Debora of Clover, SC, James Roy Hutchins and his wife, Ellen and Thomas Edward Hutchins, all of Charlotte; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Sharon Memorial Park. Charlotte. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
