Obituary of Russell McIntosh

Russell K. McIntosh Mr. McIntosh, 65, of Charlotte died Thursday, August 11, 2011,in a four wheeler accident in Bluefield, WV. Russell a native of Charlotte was born May 19, 1946, a son of the late Melvin and Sina Mae McBucham McIntosh. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Russell was a loving father and grandfather, who was very proud of his family. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie McIntosh. Survivors include his daughter, Ashlie Snelling and husband, Eddie of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Michelle Hornsby and husband, Chase of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson, Nathan Snelling of Concord, NC; brothers, Rev. Melvin McIntosh, Jr., Edward McIntosh and Ted McIntosh. A service to celebrate his life will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2011, in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening August 15, 2011, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM
