Obituary of Steve Berry

Steve Berry Mr. Berry, 60 of Charlotte, NC passed away from an unexpected stroke on Friday, August 12, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Roberta Berry and most recently his brother Wayne of Pensacola, FL. A graduate of University of West Florida, Steve came to Charlotte, NC in 1983, where he began his career with Crowder Construction Company. Mr. Berry served as Corporate Equipment Relations Manager for 27 years. Steve had a passion and love for helping and reaching out to people. He enjoyed volunteering and working with Hospice Serenity House in Mooresville, NC, The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Friendship Trays. Surviving are the two loves of his life his wife Penny and son, Chandler of Charlotte, NC. Steve was very blessed to have been enriched with a large and loving family of in-laws, nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2011 at the main campus of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. There will be a lunch reception following the interment.
