Obituary of James Nomina

James Jay Nomina Mr. Nomina passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at his home in Charlotte, NC. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 5, 1947 in Schenectady, New York, son of the late Julian and Virginia Nomina. He was a graduate of Duke University and the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at UNC-Chapel Hill. Jay spent his career in the commercial finance industry. Surviving are his wife, Jan Nomina; daughters, Jessica Nomina of Durham and Justine Nomina of Raleigh; and a sister, Carol Anderson and her husband, Tom of Callawassie Island, SC. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Francis Chapel of Myers Park United Methodist Church with the Reverend Bill Roth officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the home and on Wednesday following the memorial service at the church.
