Obituary of Joyce Kinney

Joyce Honeycutt Kinney Mrs. Kinney, 87, of Charlotte died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Lake Park Nursing Home in Indian Trail, NC. She was born October 31, 1923 in Rutherford County, NC daughter of the late L.D. and Lillie Hester Honeycutt. Mrs. Kinney was a graduate of Evans Business College and was employed with Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat as a medical records supervisor until she retired. Joyce was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and loved her family. She also enjoyed working in her yard and working puzzles. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kinney was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsay S. Kinney, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Kinney Stone and husband, Edward and Linda Dillard and husband, Vanis all of Charlotte, NC and Pam Sellers and Jerry Bell of Rock Hill, SC; six grandchildren: Lindsay Dillard, Erin Stone Zelickson, Jonathan Dillard, Christopher and Nicholas Sellers and Joshua Bell; great granddaughter, Lindsay Ann Dillard and niece Karen Honeycutt Hoyle. Funeral service for Mrs. Kinney will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2011, in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 3, 2011, in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
