Obituary of Potoula Couchell

Potoula L. Couchell Mrs. Couchell, 96, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at White Oak Manor. She was born December 14, 1914 in Vrestena, Greece, daughter of the late Spiro and Constantina Lempesis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Couchell and daughter Theophania Couchell. Mrs. Couchell is survived by her son, John N. Couchell and his wife, Aphroula and their children, Patricia, Ellen and Nicholas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews both in the United States and in Greece. She was a life long member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Ladies Philoptochos Society, where she always enjoyed making pastries and sharing stories with her many friends.. The Trisagion and funeral service will be held 9:00 AM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Father Michael Varvarelis officiating.
