Obituary of George Knight

George Bieber Knight Mr. Knight, age 91 of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Brookdale Place of South Charlotte. Born in Iowa on April 6, 1920, he was the only child of the late Karl and Sadie Knight. George served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a special agent with the F.B.I until his retirement in 1977. His passions in life included baseball, big band music and his family. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his first wife Marilynn Sanderson Knight and his second wife Evelyn Rogers Taylor Knight. He is survived by his daughters, Georgia Lynn Knight and Carol Knight Bondy of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, John M. Richards and wife Julie, Shannon R. Young and husband Jason, Cory R. Walton, Kelly W. Hembree and husband Matt, and Natalie S. Bondy and fiancé Shaun L. O?Connor. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren, Sadie, Taylor, Maggie, Ben, Jake, Molly, Jillian and Izabel. Funeral services are private.
