Obituary of Frances Foley

Frances Royal Foley Mrs. Foley, 84, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Waxahachie, Texas went to live with her Lord and Savior on November 7, 2011. She was born on May 22, 1927 in Hill County, Texas, daughter of the late Samuel Davis Douglas (SD) Royal and Fannie Neola Elizabeth Royal. After graduating from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, Frances fulfilled her dream of becoming a teacher. She touched the lives of many children in Copperas Cove where she taught first grade for twenty-six years. She opened Foley?s Private School in 1959 and later taught at Fairview and Mae Stevens Elementary. Frances was a member of American Association of University Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Foley was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, E.C. ?Pat? Foley. She is survived by daughters Beth Zeiss and her husband Tony, of Charlotte, NC, Carol Frost and her husband Ted, of Springfield, IL; grandchildren Brett Zeiss, Bryan Zeiss, Elise Beels and her husband Stephen, Tricia Frost, and Layton Frost. She was blessed with great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexandra, Colton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro, Texas on Friday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 until 11:30 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
