Obituary of Stavroula Moutselos

Stavroula Gratsouni Moutselos Mrs. Moutselos of Charlotte passed away peacefully at White Oak Manor on November 9, 2011. She was born in Paparousi, Evrytania Greece and has lived in Charlotte for 46 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Taxiarhis Moutselos, of 50 years. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Dafni and Nick Karras, and her nieces and their husbands, Loula and Johnny Kontoulas and Maria and Johnny Kleto. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moutselos was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, a member of the Daughters of Evrytania Association, and a member of the Philanthropic Association of Paparousioton. She was employed with Belk?s Department Store for 30 years, and she enjoyed working for the church. Trisagion and funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Rev. Fr. Michael Varvarelis, Fr. Philemon Patitsas, and Fr. Taxiarhis Vlahos officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at White Oak Manor Charlotte and Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte for their loving care and support. Memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC, 28203. May her memory be eternal.
