Obituary of Betty Smith

Betty Jean Smith Mrs. Smith, 77, of Charlotte, NC. The Lord called this gentle loving soul home on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Although we grieve for ourselves, we rejoice in her life, forever feel the love she so graciously shared, and know her life was a blessing to all who knew her. She has joined her son William Dean Smith, grandson Roger Dale Smith Jr. and is survived by her loving husband Donnie I. Smith, son Roger Dale Smith and his wife Leslie Grubb Smith, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and their families. Our hearts will always be filled with her love and spirit. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church, 4801 Tuckaseegee Rd., Charlotte, NC 28208. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Susan G.
