Obituary of Charles Hondros

Charles Spiro Hondros Mr. Hondros, 42, of Charlotte passed away Monday, December 19, 2011, at his residence. A native Charlottean, Charles was born June 7, 1969, son of Spiro and Barbara Harmon Hondros of Charlotte, NC. Charles graduated from Charlotte Country Day School and the University of Florida with honors. He attended the Stetson School of Law in St. Petersburg, FL. Mr. Hondros was employed as a property manager for CHARMAR, LLC. An avid sports fan, Charles particularly enjoyed the athletic programs at NC State and the University of Florida. He was also a big Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Bobcats fan. In addition to his parents, Charles is survived by his daughter, Lillian Cloyd of Marion, AR; sister, Maria Nelson and her husband, David of Charlotte, NC and his nephew and niece, Joshua and Kaylee Nelson. Funeral service for Mr. Hondros will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2011, at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church with Father Steve Dalber officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sam, John, Pete, Tommy and Nicholas Kleto and Shawn Harmon. Memorials maybe made to the Children?s ministries at St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 5108 Kuykendall Rd., Charlotte, NC 28270 or the Children?s ministries at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. Charles is finally at peace in the arms of Jesus. May his memory be eternal.
