Obituary of Nannie Crawford

Nannie Porter Crawford ?Nan? Mrs. Crawford, 81, of Summerton, SC, formerly of Charlotte, NC died on January 28, 2012 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. She was born in Belmont, NC on May 21, 1930, daughter of the late James Clarence and Ruth Ballard Porter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam M. Johnson of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Ruby Porter Elliott and Betty Porter Boland. Mrs. Crawford is survived by her husband, James Crawford of Santee, SC; daughter, Sharon Armeen and her husband, Ronnie of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughter, Shane Lundy and her husband, Rich of Myrtle Beach, SC; step-grandson, Patrick Armeen of Charlotte, NC; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kade of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Ruth Christine Porter of Chapel Hill, NC; and her brother, James Porter of Gastonia, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203 with Reverend Everett Douglas and Dr. Steve Cromer, officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
