Obituary of John Redfearn

John Hart Redfearn Mr. Redfearn, 81, of Charlotte, NC, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Summit Place in Charlotte, NC. John was born May 12, 1930, in Wayne County NC, son of the late Walter and Rebecca Hooks Redfearn. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge Military Academy and attended Clemson University. Mr. Redfearn was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was retired as a project manager for Ward Tank and Heat Exchanger. He was a member of St. Andrew?s United Methodist Church for many years. In addition to his parents Mr. Redfearn was preceded in death by his wife, Edna in 1996. Survivors include his daughter, Roseann R. Halbert and husband, Jim of Rock Hill, SC and special friends, Lonnie Williams, Frankie Snuggs and her daughters, Linda Aucoin and husband Tom and Margaret Grosz and husband Tim. Funeral service for Mr. Redfearn will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 2, 2012, at St. Andrew?s United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dan Hester officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hankins & Whittington Wednesday evening February 1, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
