Obituary of Ann Blanchard

Ann Faries Blanchard Mrs. Blanchard, 67, of Charlotte, NC died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Mrs. Blanchard was born January 12, 1945, a daughter of the late Lewis and Evelyn Quinn Faries. In addition to her parents Ann was preceded in death by her sisters, Rachel Finch, Francis Bland Bonnie Singleton and Nelda Rushing and brothers, Morris and Jack Farris. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 37 years, Jean Claude Blanchard; sister, Eunice Philbeck and husband, Charles of Shelby, NC and many nieces, nephews, friends and special friends John and Jo Haggitt (?my guardian angel?) and Waldene Berry. Ann was a graduate of Greensboro Methodist College. She retired from Bell South after many years of service. Ann enjoyed traveling with her husband and their participation at the International House of Charlotte. She enjoyed playing the piano and was an accomplished violinist. She played with a musical ensemble for several years. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside celebration of her life in Gaston Memorial Park, New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
