Obituary of Haido Tsumas

Haido Kaffes Tsumas Mrs. Tsumas, 76, of Charlotte passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living. Haido was born in Mouzaki, Greece, a daughter of the late Reverend Dimitrios and Kiriaki Kaffes. Haido was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family and also was a Greek School Teacher at her church. Haido was preceded in death by husband John Tsumas and husband Arthur Tingas. Survivors include son, Steve Tingas of Atlanta; daughters, Ronnie Fairclough and husband, Rick, and Kiki Tingas both of Charlotte; sons John Tsumas and wife, Amber, and George Tsumas both of Charlotte; stepson Steve Tsumas of Charlotte; stepdaughter LuAnne Tsumas of Charlotte; siblings Bill Kaffes, George Kaffes, Helen Nakos and Tom Kaffes, all of Charlotte; Hrisoula Trixas, Kostas Kaffes, Amalia Bilios, Aikaterini Sakelariou, all of Greece; Also surviving are grandchildren Heather, Marcus, Arthur, Hailey, Alexander, Nicholas, Austin and Aubrey. Trisagion will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203, on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 7:00 PM and the funeral service will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 12 PM, Noon, at the Cathedral. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to thank her doctors, the staff at Brighton Gardens, and Hospice & Palliative Care.
