Obituary of Shirley Cross

Shirley E. Cross Mrs. Cross, 76, of Charlotte, NC died on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Wilora Lake Health Care. She was born on January 18, 1936 in Gaffney, SC, daughter of the late Holye Ellis and Janette Griffin. Mrs. Cross worked for over 25 years at the Metro School as a Teacher?s Assistant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Barry Ellis Cross. Mrs. Cross is survived by her husband, Charles A. Cross, Jr.; her daughter, Crystal Cross Hamilton; and her granddaughter, Keira Nicole Hamilton, all of Charlotte, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
