Julia, Kathy and I send our most sincere condolences to you and your family over your loss of Lew. He was a kind, thoughtful, and very professional friend and gentleman for whom I had great respect and appreciation. I enjoyed serving with him in Vietnam and at PG school where he was a big help in academics, the stock market, and naval affairs.
Best wishes and God's blessings. Remember the smiles, the fun, and the love.
Sincerely,
Bill Straight, CAPT USN (RET)

Julia,
I am so grateful for my time with Lew as well as my time with you. I will always remember him and his smile and the times he made me laugh. I am so blessed to have spent time with your loving family in his last moments; Russ's playing his guitar, Meg's sense of humor and Louis's calm strong presence as well as your touch and love surrounding him was the comfort and peace that helped him to let go. What a spiritual moment you all created and I was honored to be a part of that time. Thank you.

My sincere sympathy to Admiral Glenn's family.
I had the pleasure of serving aboard the USS Mahan (DDG 42) in 1979 for two weeks reserve duty when Admiral Glenn was the Commanding Officer. I have always remembered his professionalism and commitment to the Navy as well as his friendliness to me during my short time aboard. It was a pleasure to have met him.
