Obituary of Anna Wicker

Anne Marie Wicker Anne Marie Wicker, 25, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 9, 1986, in Greensboro, North Carolina to Carl and Elizabeth Wicker. Anne Marie was educated in the Durham and Mecklenburg County schools, and she graduated from Queens University of Charlotte in 2009 with degrees in Communication and Political Science and a Business minor. She was employed as a project manager with MyGlobalIT. In addition to her parents, Anne Marie is survived by her sister, Sarah Dobson and husband, Ben: her sister, Katie Wicker, and her beloved niece, Ellie Dobson. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandfather. Anne Marie had a beautiful spirit, a strong faith and a fierce determination. She was an inspiration to all who met her. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank the doctors of the Pulmonary Critical Care team and the nurses of STICU at CMC Main for their excellent care and compassion. A memorial service to celebrate Anne Marie's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 18 at Myers Park United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in Jubilee Hall at the church following the service.
