Obituary of John Sanders

John Mark Sanders Mr. Sanders, 54, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at his residence. Mark was born July 15, 1957, in Forest, MS, son of John and Betty Jo Sanders of Birmingham, AL and formerly of Columbus, MS. He was employed with Duke Energy for 31 years as a nuclear engineer. Mr. Sanders enjoyed sports, reading, animals, hiking, but the most important thing to Mark was spending time with his children. In addition to his parents Mark is survived by his sons, Alex Sanders of Raleigh, NC and Ben Sanders of Charlotte, NC; sister, Melissa Sanders Watkins of Huntsville, AL; brother, Phil Sanders and wife, Sheila of Birmingham, AL; niece, Jordan Sanders and nephews, Jim Watkins and Steven and John Sanders. Graveside service for Mr. Sanders will be held 2:30 PM Friday, May 25, 2012, in Harperville Memorial Park in Harperville, MS with the Reverend Claire Dobbs officiating. The family will receive friends at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest, MS from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Memorials maybe made to Philips Academy, 3115 Providence Rd., Charlotte, NC 28211.
