Obituary of Eleanor Kerns

Mrs. Kerns, 89, formerly of Charlotte, NC died on June 12, 2012 in Rock Hill, SC. She was born on July 13, 1922 in Berlin, NY, daughter of the late Reginald M. Wager and Mabel H. Lewis Wager. During World War II, Mrs. Kerns served as PFC in the United States Marine Corps., stationed in Cherry Point, NC, where she met and married her husband, the late Francis M. ?Mike? Kerns. After the war, they settled in Charlotte where they were long time members of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gerald Williams. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and sister, Mrs. Kerns is survived by her children, Reginald Maury Kerns and his wife, Pamela of Lancaster, SC and Frances Kerns Williams of York, SC; grandchildren, Emily Kerns Dillow and her husband, Danny, Ashley Kerns Weaver and her husband, Law, Tommy Williams and his wife, Rita, and Jerry Williams; great-grandchildren Jacob Williams and Savannah Williams; sister, Emily Wager Feinberg; and nieces and nephews.
