Obituary of Frances Kimbrell

Frances Kornegay Kimbrell Mrs. Kimbrell, 88, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Frances was born in Lumberton, NC December 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Robert and Kate Waller Kornegay. She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Queens College. Frances was a member of The Queens-Davidson Symphony Orchestra and also the General Robert Irwin Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Kimbrell was an active member of Pritchard Memorial Baptist and the Mizpah Sunday school class. She also was an avid bridge player with the Pritchard Bridge group and was in the Sunago club at the church. Frances loved flowers and was employed with Fashion Florist and The Blossom Shop for many years. In addition to her parents Mrs. Kimbrell was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Kimbrell; brothers, David and Robert ?Bud? Kornegay; sisters, Margaret Ramseur and Mary Kate Tarleton. Survivors include her niece, Dale R. Richardson and husband, Jim of Matthews, NC; nephews, Bob Kornegay and wife, Tootie of Elon College, NC, Dan Bridges and wife, Pat of Pensacola, FL, Leon Ramseur and wife, Sara of Gastonia, NC, Jim Tarleton and wife, Judi of Raleigh, NC, Bill Kornegay and wife, Anne of Burlington, NC, Albert Bridges and wife, Treva of Matthews, NC and Allan Tarleton and wife, Donna of Asheville, NC. Also surviving are her two ?adopted? grandsons, Blair and Tyler Richardson both of Matthews, NC. Mrs. Kimbrell?s family would like to thank the staff at Levin & Dickson Hospice House for their loving care.
