Obituary of Madeline Wilson

Madeline P. Wilson Mrs. Wilson, 97, of Charlotte died at Sardis Oaks Nursing Home on Monday, July 16, 2012. Mrs. Wilson was born May 1, 1915 in Birmingham, AL, daughter of the late Samuel and Viola Queen Potter. Madeline was a homemaker and loved her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid gardener and very independent person. A devoted Christian, Mrs. Wilson was a member of Berryhill Baptist Church for over sixty years. In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy W. Wilson in 1991. Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Bass and husband, Rondal; Mary Parsons and Roye Ann Dickson and husband, Robert; son, Bill Wilson; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July20, 2012, in the Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Berryhill Baptist Church, 9801 Walkers Ferry Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214
