Obituary of Grace Rockholt Kehl

Grace Naomi Rockholt Kehl Mrs. Kehl, 90, of Charlotte, NC, died on July 24, 2012 at Carrington Place in Matthews,, NC. She was born on December 25, 1921 in Gastonia, NC, daughter of the late Charles Garner Rockholt and Lucy Ruth Mims Rockholt. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kehl was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her son, Steven; brothers, Jack and Donald; and her sister, Lucille. She is survived by her daughter, Susie Simmons and her husband, Neil; granddaughters, Georgeanna Dellinger and her husband Lonnie, Susan Long and her husband, Mark; grandson, George Goble; great-grandsons, Grant and Luke; her brother, Charles Rockholt, Jr.; nephew, Bobby Rockholt and many other loving nieces and nephews. The family would also like to give special thanks to the entire staff of Carrington Place for their love and care throughout the years. Graveside funeral service with military honors will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.
