Obituary of Jeffrey Edmond

Jeffrey Alan Edmond Mr. Edmond, 57, of Charlotte passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Jeff was born August 22, 1955 in Bath, NY, a son of the late Lee and Mimi Edmond. He graduated from Cohocton Central School in 1973. A man of many talents and trades, Jeff worked in construction, was a past facility director of the Johnston YMCA, former operations manager for Moonlight Cleaning and was proudly employed as a cashier at the Cotswold BP. Music was a huge passion of Jeff?s, he enjoyed cantoring at St. Peter?s Catholic Church. He also loved singing lullabies to his daughters and inspiring them with classic rock like the Beatles. In addition to his parents Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie Edmond and nephew, Kevin Edmond. Survivors include his loving wife, Leslie Sherrill Edmond; devoted daughters, Faith Anne and Hannah Edmond all of Charlotte, NC; brothers, Dan Edmond and wife, Ellen of Perkinsville, NY, Doug Edmond and wife, Debbie of Nunda, NY, John Edmond and wife, Rita of Durham, NC and Rick Edmond and wife, Gio of Apopka, FL; sisters, Anne Carter of Gastonia, NC and Christine Crouch and husband, Tom of Fenton, MO; sister-in-law Darlene Edmond of Pageland, SC; mother-in-law, Carolyn Sherrill of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law, Don Sherrill of Surfside Beach, SC and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2012, at St. Ann?s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friend at Hankins & Whittington Friday evening, December 21, from 6:00 to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Hannah Lee and Faith Anne Edmond Scholarship Fund, 1517 Colvard Farms Rd., Durham, NC 27713.
