Obituary of Peter Sullivan

Peter Kevin Sullivan Mr. Sullivan, 58, of Asheboro, NC and formerly of Charlotte, NC slipped away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on February 7, 2013. He was born August 28, 1954 a son of the late Daniel and Adele Sullivan in Charlotte, NC. Pete was a member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers for 25 years. Mr. Sullivan was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps as well as the United States Army serving his country from 1972 to 1978. While in the Marines, Pete earned the National Defense Service Medal and a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. While in the Army, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Service Medal and the M-16 Rifle Marksman Badge. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Sullivan of Asheboro, NC; his son Brian Sullivan and his wife, Michelle of Concord, NC; his step-sons, Rickie Morgan of Asheboro, NC and Eric Morgan and his wife, Jessica and daughter, Izabella of Charleston, WV; his siblings, Shaun Sullivan of Clearwater, FL; Terry Sullivan of Cary, NC; Steve Sullivan of Gaithersburg, MD; Dan Sullivan of Thornton, CO; Del Kohl of Merritt Island, FL. The family would like to thank Hospice of Randolph County for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday evening, February 12, 2013 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. Graveside service with military honors will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in the Salisbury National Cemetery In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of Randolph County P.O.
