Obituary of Betty Baucom Rape

Betty Jo Baucom Rape` Mrs. Rape`, 75, of Concord and formerly of Charlotte died Friday, February 8, 2013 at CMC Northeast in Concord, NC. Betty was born March 29, 1937, a daughter of the late Jack and Nellie Copper. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Betty also loved going to the beach and shopping on the QVC network. Betty was a former member of the Carolina Clowns and past President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; daughter, Cindi Scott and brother, JR Green. Survivors include her daughters, Shelia Baucom and Karen Phillips; brothers, Kenny Green and Bill Copper; sisters, Linda Farmer and Lisa Alexander; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Betty?s life will be held 7:00 PM Monday evening February 11, 2013 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 100 Pine Grove Church Road, Concord, NC 28025.
