Obituary of Steve Pete Fellos

Steve Pete Fellos Mr. Fellos, 87, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday, March 3, 2013, in the Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital. A native Charlottean, Steve was born October 15, 1925, son of the late Peter and Helen Mavrika Fellos. Mr. Fellos was a graduate of Central High School and was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. A successful entrepreneur, Steve had many real estate ventures and was the former owner of Providence Road Sundries and Steve's Self Service Drug Store. He also was involved with the Coliseum Bowling Center and Freedom Bowling Lanes. Steve was an avid golfer and made thirteen hole in ones, the last one was when he was in his seventy's, they were noted by an article in Sports Illustrated. In addition to his parents Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Tula Cavalaris Fellos; daughter, Elaine Fellos Young and sister, Katina F. Laskaris. Survivors include his children, Pam F. Cook and husband, John of Charlotte, NC, Stephanie F. Holleman and husband, Leon of Manteo, NC, Denise Fellos, Peter T. Fellos and Zoe F. Bell all of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Lula F. Pappas of Charlotte, NC and Jeannie Gallins and husband, Johnny of Winston-Salem, NC; grandsons, Blake Young of South Beach, FL, Steve Young of Charlotte, NC and Christopher Fellos of High Point, NC and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mr. Fellos will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery. The Trisagion will be 7:00 PM Tuesday evening March 5, 2013, at the Cathedral.
