Obituary of John William Greene

John William Greene, Jr. Mr. Greene, 65, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Myers Park Presbyterian Church with visitation following the service in Oxford Hall. John was born in Raleigh, NC on September 12, 1947 to the late John William Greene, Sr. and Nina Liles Greene. John resided there until he relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1975 to work for Mitchell Distributing Company. Surviving family members include his wife Sarah Albright Greene; his son John William Greene, III; his son Thomas Nash Greene and his wife Georgia Lynne of Charlotte, NC, and their son Thomas, Jr.; his son James Nash Greene and his wife Gabrielle of Chapel Hill, NC; his daughter Dr. Leigh Allen of Buffalo, NY; and his brother George Greene and his wife Barbara of Savannah, GA, and their son Stephen and his wife Kate. John was a kind and gentle soul devoted to his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.
