Obituary of Carl Lewis Buckner

Mr. Buckner, 79, of Mint Hill, NC passed away on April 21, 2013, in the Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital. He is survived by his wife Vivian; son, Paul and his wife, Cheryl; daughter Pamela and her husband, Steve; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Lucille Buckner and Sandra Talley. The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 6050 Hickory Grove Rd., Charlotte, NC 28215. Interment with military honors will be at 2:00 PM in Crown Memorial Park, Pineville, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Highway, Monroe, NC 28110 or Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
