Sandra Davis Shanklin Mrs. Shanklin, 69, of Charlotte died at Sunrise on Providence Sunday, August 6, 2023. She was born October 13, 1953, in Charlotte, NC, daughter of the late Earl and Mary Davis. Sandra recently left us due to dementia, a battle she faced with courage and grace. Her unwavering love for dogs, particularly poodles, brought immeasurable joy to her life. Through the challenges of her illness, her connection with these furry companions remained a constant source of comfort. Sandra was not only a devoted dog enthusiast but also a beloved mother, friend, and confidante. Her warm heart and kind nature left an indelible mark on those fortunate to know her. Despite the trials she endured, she remained a beacon of strength, reminding us all of the power of resilience and the importance of cherishing the simple pleasures in life. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Richard Shanklin. Sisters, Pat Black and Nancy Davis. Sons, Will Shanklin and wife Lacey, Matt Mullen, and Josh Mullen. Grandchildren, Emilia Shanklin, Haley Mullen, Carson Mullen, Jackson Mullen, and Isaiah Mullen.
