David was a native of Charlotte, having attended Charlotte Catholic high school class of 1984 and UNCC, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration. David had a natural curiosity for mechanics and engineering, which led to his first job repairing arcade games and park rides at Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, NC. After graduate school, David stepped into an innovative role that focused on delivering technology based strategies and solutions to improve customer experience. He served as both Vice President of Technology at Paramount Parks and then as Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Herschend. Throughout his career, David was not only an innovator, but also an inspiring leader and mentor. He cared deeply about his team's professional and personal development --- supporting, encouraging, and advocating for their growth while promoting and celebrating their successes.

David touched many lives throughout his 35 year career and lived his personal life with the same optimism, joy, and passion. He was a loving husband to his wife Leslie, an avid traveler, an enthusiast of smooth bourbons, and fully embraced new experiences. He enjoyed chilly winter walks by the water near his Newport, Rhode Island home and sharing the subtleties of Southern culture with Leslie. David is greatly missed, but his life, love, and vibrant sense of humor will continue to live on in the memories of all those who knew him.
