Obituary of Margaret F. Manus

Margaret Foard Manus (Duree)

 

Went to meet her savior on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

 

Before this, Margaret loved her church, loved working, cooking or Cleaning. She has been in charge of the prayer line for the sick at Aldersgate United Methodist Church for many years.

 

She loved people and enjoyed selling Avon for 55 years and winning many wonderful trips. To name a few: Hawaii, Las Vegas and the Mississippi River Boat.

 

Margaret was married to Van Lee Manus for 62 years, then he left her for a heavenly home October 12, 2010. She also lost a dear son, Mike Manus, at the age of 58 on January 3, 2022.

 

Margaret is survived by a special son, Bobby Manus. Special Friends! Bennie Letterman, The Troy & Frances Kimbell family, Wanda, Gale and Billy and many great friends she adored.

 

Memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 5338 Nations Ford Road, Charlotte NC. 28217.

 

A Special Thanks to Hospice of Charlotte and Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation for the loving care of Mom!

 

A gathering will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, with services following at 3 p.m. at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.

 

Interment will take place 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Ritch Cemetery, 6190 Indian Trail-Fairview Rd., Indian Trail, NC 28079.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
