Obituary of Ann Tanner Wright
Ann Tanner Wright, 98, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away December 26, 2022. Born November 17, 1924, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Zelma Tanner.
Ann loved animals, especially cats. She was known for rescuing all of the neighborhood strays, and also for giving to animal rescues.
Ann is survived by her granddaughter, Natalie Stephens Adams (Andy), three great grandchildren, Madison, Andrew, and Lauren.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her son, Don Stephens, her sister, Margaret Tanner Holtzclaw, her brothers, Jack Tanner, and Eugene Tanner.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 am, at Sharon Memorial Park, located in Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Ann’s name to Clover Presbyterian Church 202 Kings Mountain St Clover, SC 29710, or an animal rescue of your choice.
