Obituary of Ann Elizabeth Brown

Ann Elizabeth Brown, 74, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away July 4, 2022. Born June 17, 1948, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Singletary and Veris Roberson. Ann is survived by her loving son, Anthony Brown, and wife, April, of Asheville, and son Barnard Brown of Asheville. In addition to her sons, she is survived by her granddaughter Jessica Rushing of Charlotte, NC. Ann has three loving grandchildren, Zya Brown, Karis Brown, and Tyree Brown, and four loving great grandchildren, Ja-Mirah Rushing, Nevaeh Moore-Rushing, Isiah Rushing, and Za'Kia Reid. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband Cornelius Brown, and son Cornelius Brown, Jr. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on July 7, 2022 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. A funeral ceremony will be held immediately following at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, located at 1504 West Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262.
