Obituary of Sarah Newsom King

Sarah Newsom King, 99, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away February 12, 2022. Born June 29, 1922, in Stokes Bridge, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Harry Malvin Newsom and Mildred Natalie Pate Newsom. She graduated with an Associate degree and spent time as a seamstress and created her own business as a cosmetologist. Sarah enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds, spending time with her family and Willie - her female cat.

Sarah is survived by her son, Ronald Newsom King and his wife, Eva; daughter, Janice Alice 'Ali'  King; grandson, Jason King; sisters: Virginia 'Ginger' White and Rosamond 'Ros' Blackwell.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nesbitt White King, Sarah was preceded in death by her sister, Miriam, and brother, John "Johnny" Harry Newsom.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00PM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Sharon Memorial Park.
