Obituary of Priscilla Raye Tillman

Priscilla Raye Shope Tillman, 72 years old of Cramerton, NC passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Raye was born on Saturday, April 2, 1949, in Salisbury, NC to the late Frank and Evelyn Safrit Shope. She enjoyed shopping, spending time at their mountain home and being surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde “Sammy” Tillman; step-daughter, Shani Hammond and her husband, Bobby; step-son, Brett Tillman and his wife, Jenneane; brothers: Jerry Shope and his wife, Linda, and James Shope; her sister, Dale Shope; nephews: Jake and Josh Shope; nieces: Brandie Supple and Hannah Herrera; her longtime friend, Leesa Hardy; as well as 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many cousins in Macon County & Rowan County. In addition to her parents, Raye was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Shope, and her sister, Carolyn Biers. The family will receive friends at 11:30am with a Funeral Service at 1pm on Friday, September 3rd at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203.
