Obituary of Elaine Eleanor Messer

Elaine Eleanor Quackenbush Messer, 69 years old, of Charlotte, passed away on May 6, 2021.  Elaine was born in Rochester, NY to the late Everett and Lucille Quackenbush.    Elaine retired from Cato Corporation as an Office Clerk earlier this year.

Elaine was predeceased by her son, Charley Messer and her grandson, CJ Messer. She is survived by her husband, Harley Messer; her daughter, Melissa Gunter; her daughter-in-law, Donna Messer; her sister, Denise Lane; her brothers, Dennis Quackenbush and Ray Quinn; her grandchildren, Justin Miller, Maria Messer, Zack Gunter, Amber Gunter, and Taylor Gunter; and her great grandchildren, Parker, Ryan, Jackson, Kinsley and Gavin.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday May 10, 2021, 1pm at University Hills Baptist Church, 1500 Suther Rd, Charlotte, NC 28213.
