Martin Mueller

Obituary of Martin Charles Mueller

Martin Charles Mueller was born May 31, 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to his loving belated parents William T. Mueller, Jr. and Catherine Mary O’Hanlon Mueller. He was a brother to Margie Mueller and the late Tom and Dave Mueller. Father to daughter Megan Crawford and her husband James, daughter Maureen Mueller. Grandfather to William and Colin Crawford, Nicolette Fisher, Devon Henry, and Alexis Ray.  He is also survived by his former wife and friend Kathy Kalk Morrow and her husband Ray. He is missed by his four-legged friends Mattie and Andy who are looking for him to pet them.

Marty went to school at O’Donohue/St. Patrick’s elementary, Charlotte Catholic High where in excelled in sports especially football, and Appalachian State.  He worked at Lance, Duff-Norton Manufacturing and at the US Post Office General Mail Facility in Charlotte where he retired.

Marty’s hobbies and interests were golf, bowling, pool, art work, jigsaw puzzles and panning for gold.  However, he never found much in the dirt he sifted. The hunt for gold made him happy.

Marty loved being with his family and friends and was always there for them.  He was always a kind person with a generous heart.  He was there in all our good and bad times, helping us out in any way he could.  We all loved him very much and will miss him terribly.

Marty died at home suddenly November 30, 2020 with his family at his side.  He had many health problems over the past several years but he kept rebounding back.  He was a fighter to the end.  We are all very blessed for him sharing his life with us.

Funeral arrangements are unusual during “The Time of COVID”.  The family plans on a small family service followed by his burial at Sunset Memory Garden. The family plans to have a loving and fun celebration of his wonderful life in Spring of 2021. Time to be announced.
