Muriel was born in Charleston, West Virginia on November 1, 1950.  She attended school in Kanawha County and graduated from Charleston High School in 1968.

Muriel and Mark loved to travel.  They spent many summers cruising.  She was an avid lover of the beach.  She spent countless hours in the pool.  Even in childhood, her daily routine included swimming.  Muriel successfully taught others to swim over the years.

Muriel was a Healthcare provider in several different capacities over the years.  She worked in areas of Mental Health, Recovery, Group Homes and CNA from which she retired.

She relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1988 with her loving husband.  One of her favorite past times was shopping at flea markets, collecting elephants, and watching her favorite TV show N.C.I.S.

Muriel was preceded in death by her parents, Lindon Stillwell and Thelma Benton Stillwell, her sister Linda Simms, cousin Frank Simms, and of course, the family pet, her beloved Peanut.
