Nora,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss of Pete. I don't need to tell you what a warm, genial and joyful man he was. He's one of those rare people that I always delighted in seeing whenever he visited us (with dog!) at our old office.
He always brought a bolt of sunshine into whatever gloom the moment held.
I have fond memories of Pete... and you too. It would be good to see you again when next I'm in Charlotte.

Very sad news indeed!
I’ve lost a very dear and loving friend!
I was very close to Pete and his family since the 70s. We worked in the same company in Rocky Mount, NC and we were neighbors in a town house complex. Being single we had tons of fun together including taking trips in his Cessna plane to the Carolina beaches and to his home in Yonkers, NY.
Soon Pete and Nora began dating. In 1974 they both traveled with me for my marriage in New Delhi, India where my family loved these two love birds! Pete and Nora were overwhelmed with all the attention, the Indian hospitality, love and affection. Indeed, Pete proposed to Nora to get married in Delhi. So cute!
My wife Anita spent her first night in the USA upon arrival at JFK in Pete’s father’s home in Yonkers, NY. Our lives with Pete and Nora have been intertwined since then - with work, family and pleasure. Even after we moved to WI in 1980 we kept in touch. In the mean time Pete & Nora moved to Charlotte. Only wished we had met more often during the ensuing years but our bond still continued to be strong!
We pray God give dear Nora and his family strength to face this untimely and tragic loss. Everyone who knew Pete will miss his company, his smile, his laugh, his humor, his generosity, his warm heart and love and desire to help anyone and everyone that he could. Indeed Pete was one of a kind that God bestows to us whom we had the honor to know. May Pete’s soul Rest In Peace.
Wish we were able to attend his funeral. We will be there surely in spirit. Pete, Nora and his family will be in our prayers.
In sorrow,
Bobby & Anita Dhir

My deepest condolences to Pete family . Pete will surely be missed , I worked with him for over 12 years and he was a gentlemen and a scholar. His sense of humor was catching . He never was to busy to help anyone in need . I will certainly miss him tremendously .
