Obituary of Joseph Francis Zeman

Joseph Francis Zeman, Jr., age 71, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tina Zeman and his son, Joseph Francis Zeman, III. He was a Marine veteran and served on the USS America. Joseph was born in Charlotte and made his living here as a data processing manager and in Facilities Management. He married Marti Osborne at age 19, had their son Joseph. They were happy for many years until her death in 1983. He married Tina Snyder in 1988 and they bought a vacation home in the North Carolina Mountains near Burnsville that year. He loved spending time there for many years and his friends in the Burnsville area are like family. He was a sweet and caring soul who loved the outdoors, fishing and just walking the acres of his mountain property, particularly in the company of Tina and one of a series of beloved dogs.He was loved by all who knew him. A memorial service for Joe will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203, with visitation and reception immediately following in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorials in the memory of Joseph may be made to the Charlotte Humane Society, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203 or to the charity of your choice.
