Obituary of Henry Cannie Lowery

Henry Cannie Lowery, 92, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully at his home, Monday, March 12, 2018. He was born in Lanesboro Township, Anson County, NC. He was a member of Amity Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Annie Lowery who he was faithfully married to for 61 years. He was patriotic and served proudly in WWII in the United States Army. Henry's zest for life was contagious and he never met a stranger. He saw the best in everyone. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter Nancy Childress. Henry is survived by his daughters Connie Kiser, of Charlotte, NC; Joy Stonebraker and her husband Bob, of Charlotte, NC; Pat Irvin and her husband Jock (John), of Huntersville, NC and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC Monday, March 19, 2018 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. Services celebrating his life with Pastor Betsy Williamson officiating will be at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
