Obituary of Angie Calabrese

Angie Calabrese Mrs. Calabrese, 86, of Charlotte, NC died on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Levine & Dixon Hospice House, Huntersville, NC. Angie was born in Brooklyn, New York daughter of the late Frank Magrella and Elvira Toriello Magrella. She was the head bookkeeper for a small company in the insurance industry in New York , NY for over 15 years prior to her retirement. Angie lived for her family and was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and clean, and also enjoyed painting ceramics. Angie believed in Angels. In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her son, Neil Calabrese. She is survived by her son, Vincent Calabrese and his wife, Lynda of Sedona, AZ; daughter-in-law, Judy Calabrese, of Charlotte, NC; brother, Bernard Magrella of Florida; grandchildren, Jeff and his wife, Marina, Dennis, Jason and his wife, Heidi, and Emily and her partner, Karen; twin great-grandchildren, Andrew and Katelyn. Her family would like to thank the staff of the Summit Place of South Park, Charlotte, NC and the staff of the Levine & Dixon Hospice House, Huntersville, NC for the care and compassion they showed to Angie. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Thursday April 30, 2009 at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte. Interment will be private.
