Obituary of Cynthia Horton

Mrs. Horton, 49, died May 31, 2009, at her residence. She was born on March 24, 1960, in Bitburg, Gemany, daughter of Joseph Gayle and Virginia Cox. Mrs. Horton has been with Allen Tate Realty for the past 10 years. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Esther Cox and her father-in-law, Benjamin Franklin Taylor. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Megan Horton Hinson and her husband, Brandon; her son, Jacob Horton; three brothers, Daniel Kuntz, Richard Kuntz and David Huggins, her former husband, Steve Horton; mother-in-law, Frances Taylor; and Ervin Huggins. Her funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in the sanctuary of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 6050 Hickory Grove Rd. Charlotte, NC 28215, with Reverend John Harrill, officiating. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 1:30 until 3:00 PM.
