Obituary of Stephen McMakin

Stephen ?Stevie? Anthony McMakin, Jr. Mr. McMakin, 48, of Charlotte passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. A unique, lovable, grumpy bear and native Charlottean, Stephen was born June 18, 1964. Stephen graduated from Independence High School, where he was a member of the varsity basketball team. Mr. McMakin was employed with AEP Industries in Stallings, NC for many years. Stephen was an avid reader, enjoyed doing yard work and loved going on beach trips with his family. Stephen is survived by his children Amanda Kaye McMakin and Jake Anthony McMakin; father, Stephen A. McMakin, Sr. and wife, Mardianne; mother, Mary Antoinette ?Toni? Moore Treadway and husband, Michael; three brothers, Patrick McMakin and wife, Jennifer, Charles McMakin and wife, Julie and Michael Treadway and wife, Jane; sisters, Tamara Treadway Preston and husband, Donnie and Angie Treadway as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends, Tuesday evening, December 11, 2012, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service.
